The Scottish singer-songwriter (everyone loves a bit of home-grown talent!) possesses arguably one of the most recognisable and powerful voices in the industry today, and her second release A Curious Thing was an eagerly anticipated follow-up when it was released in March this year.

11There was a time when Wales seemed to be the mass production centre of British music. Lostprophets broke through into the mainstream, Funeral For A Friend found renewed success and bands like The Blackout and Kids In Glass Houses exploded from nowhere to become flavour of the month with everyone from fans to fellow bands to critics. Although they all suffered the fatal flaw of sounding quite like each other, the latter stood out with their debut album Smart Casual.
 
   
Gogol Bordello: Trans-Contintnetal Hustle
gogol_bordello1Gogol Bordello are back and for their fifth album ‘Trans-Continental Hustle’ the Gypsy-punk rockers have enlisted the help of legendary producer Rick Rubin. Rubin’s recent work has included the magnificent ‘American Recordings VI: Ain’t no Grace’ by Johnny Cash.

foalsThis album is simply not enough! The oxford-raised boys are bringing out their follow up album on May 10th  and are currently touring the UK to promote it but if it’s anything like their first album they’ll have no trouble selling it.
