Gone But Not Forgotten

In a new feature we are look at classics that have gone but shouldn’t be forgotten. If you miss that old classic TV show or have a desire to see Furbees brought back then get in touch with suggestions!

Song: I Luv You Baby (The Original)

Reason: Apart from it being so flipping infectious it’s also a quality 90’s “old skool” dance tune. Guaranteed to get you up and dancing, and also likely to be stuck in your head for at least a week. It’s a forgotten gem as a lot of 90’s music was, well to be honest shite but this is one of the good ones, one of the ones that we like to nostalgically remember as a classic “old skool” tune. It’s a feel good song that you can’t help but dance to, definitely one to check out and let all those memories come flooding back.

Band: Toploader

Even though they were only really known for ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ there first album had some pretty good songs on it, classic 00’s indie stuff. Unfortunately the band split due to musical differences but there album ‘Onkas big mocha’ is well worth another listen.

T.V Show: Bodger and Badger

Best kids T.V show ever! Quite why badgers love mashed potato so much we will never know but you couldn’t help but be enthralled by the duo’s antics. There was also a mouse that lived under the sink!!! To be fair any kids T.V show that involved mash potato had to be a winner. It also had a catchy as hell theme tune!

Film: Coyote Ugly

Reason: What’s not to love? Adam Garcia, hot dancing chicks and a brilliant soundtrack?? It was one of those films that is technically a chick flick but really guys liked it just as much (probably to do with fit girls dancing on a bar?). Its good fun and somewhere between all the singing and dancing there is quite a sweet story. Well worth digging out again for a watch.

Sweets: Nerds and Dweebs

Reason: Those weird brightly coloured odd tasting sugary sweets. They came in like a million flavours two to a box, and one side would always be much nicer than the others. They just seemed to disappear off our shelves, I’m pretty sure they were banned for being radioactive.

But brilliant whilst they were around.
