Example - Won't Go Quietly
If you are an original EXAMPLE fan you probably hate this album. Sorry, but you’re wrong. Ok so he’s not a total dirty gangster (well as dirty and gangster-esque as you can get being British) anymore what with the very radio friendly Won’t Go Quietly but he IS a clever singer.
This album mixes pop beats with classic Example one liners, throwing in a bit of trance and almost dubstep-esque tracks. I find it impossible to listen to this album and convince myself NOT to crack open the wine, so probably not a good study companion but a mood lifter at least.
My favourite tracks, ignoring the huge hit single the album’s named after, would have to be Something In The Water, which kind of reminds me of “Big Brovaz” when it starts but gets classier I promise, and Dirty Face which simply NEEDS to be played at top volume and most probably with strobe lights and UV paint.
Like I said, not one for people who love rap and were hoping Example would just keep to the same formula as his first album, but a must have for those of us who do occasionally like a bit of pop or club tunes but crave smarter lyrics.
