| Glasgow Clubbing 30th Nov Onwards! |
|
Tonight will see’s us land on the 30th of November, St Andrews Day and the end of Movember, so well done all you Mo Bro’s! On the 30th the Garage are having a special St Andrew’s themed school disco, always a fan of a school disco so I hope it’s a good one. I’ll be there in all my schoolboy glory, complete with obligatory primary one pee at every visit to the little boys room. |
| Fee Rises |

With the recent announcement that the cap on fees in English universities will be lifted, massive outrage and debate has reverberated throughout students, it has certainly been a hot topic for fellow students and myself. For now, Scottish students can sigh with relief that Lord Browne’s review of costs in higher education systems only applies to England. However, it naturally causes concern for us on the other side of the border as we wonder if and when these policies will be brought in to Scottish universities. |

Turning to the new week in my Filofax the other day, there was an advert inserted which told me that the new pages for the year 2011 would now be on sale. This filled me with a somewhat disproportionate amount of dread. And it’s not because of the usual reasons you might expect – I’m not going to start going on about how fast the years are going, or the fact that it is ridiculous that everyone is in such a rush that Christmas decorations were in the shops in October (although it is, of course). |

With Christmas just around the corner we though we would have a look at what was the big thing to get for Christmas when we were younger whilst also looking at what is big for this year.Tamagochi, Gameboy Colour and Furbys aplenty!
My Filofax and Me – a Story of love, hatred and eventual understanding
The Meadows Marathon is a half marathon and 5k fun run that takes place in Edinburgh every year. March 6th will mark the fifth anniversary of this great event. The Marathon is one of Edinburgh’s largest fundraisers, and cemented this reputation last year, when almost 1000 runners raised over £50 000 for various local, national and international charities. This is a popular event; some run for charity, others for competition and some for the challenge it provides. On November 25th 2010, registration opens for the 5th anniversary marathon, and the organisers welcome everyone; old and young, professional and, um, not-so-professional!
